Why I'm Running

My name is Anand Pye, and I'm running to be your next City Councillor for Ward O-day'min. For years, I've worked to bring people together, support local business, and make Edmonton a more vibrant place to live.

As the former CEO of NAIOP, Edmonton's commercial real estate development association, I connected local developers, entrepreneurs, and city builders with experts from across North America to share ideas on how to make our City stronger and more competitive.

But my love for Edmonton isn't just about buildings; it's about the people who drive new ideas and bring our City to life. I've always believed that a great city need a great arts scene. That's why I helped launch Grindstone Theatre, brought back Nuit Blanche in 2018, and started the Edmonton Mural Festival to elevate local artists and bring more beauty to our City.

Edmonton thrives when we get the basics right, plan for smart growth, and empower the people and communities that make this City great. I'm ready to bring my energy, optimism, and hands-on experience to City Hall to help make that a reality. With the right leadership we can build a city we can all grow in. A city that's safe and affordable. A city we can be proud of.
